Benefit Architects Extends Premium Grace Period to Support Federal Employees During Government Shutdown

Westlake, TX – October 30, 2025 – Benefit Architects, Inc. announced today that it is working closely with its carrier partners to extend extra support to Federal employees affected by the government shutdown.

To help ease the financial burden many are facing, the original 30-day premium grace period has been extended to 60 days for eligible policyholders.

This extension applies to Benefit Architects policyholders with AFLAC, Allstate, Cigna, Humana, Fidelity & Guaranty Life, and Unum.

Depending on the carrier, this temporary relief may include options such as deferring premium payments, waiving late fees, providing interest-free premium loans, and other supportive measures. While Federal employees remain responsible for their premiums, these programs allow for delayed payments and repayment after the shutdown ends.

“At Benefit Architects, we understand that many Federal employees are facing uncertainty right now,” said a company spokesperson. “We are committed to doing our part to provide flexibility and peace of mind during this difficult time.”

If you are a Federal employee impacted by the shutdown and have a Benefit Architects policy, please reach out to us for assistance. You can call (800) 733-7236 or email Shutdown@benefitacorp.com for more information.

Eligible policyholders may inquire about the grace period by calling (800) 733-7236 or emailing Shutdown@benefitacorp.com.
