PRESS RELEASE

Benefit Architects Extend

a Premium Grace Period for

Some Federal Employees

Westlake, TX., Oct. 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Benefit Architects Inc. announced today that it is working with its carrier partners to extend the premium grace period for Federal employees impacted by the government shutdown.

The originally announced grace period was 30 days, and the new, extended grace period is 60 days.

The carriers impacted by this change are Benefit Architects policyholders with AFLAC, Allstate, CIGNA, Humana, Fidelity & Guaranty Life, and UNUM.

Depending on the carrier, the temporary relief might include deferring payments, waiving late fees, temporarily securing interest-free premium loans, and other benefits for impacted policyholders. Due to state insurance regulations, Federal employees are generally still responsible for their premiums, though payments may be delayed and repaid after the shutdown.

Eligible policyholders may inquire about the grace period by calling (800) 733-7236 or emailing
